The Atlas Mountains

The Atlas Mountains are significant to Africa because of a couple of reasons. They are 1,600 miles long and are the natural separation of the Mediterranean and Atlantic Ocean from the Sahara Desert. The mountains have thick forests that provide lumber. The Atlas Mountains also have other valuable natural resources like gold, silver, zinc, lead, and iron. These can be sold to make money or turned into structures/tools.
